What are forex calculators

Forex calculators turn a trading plan into concrete numbers: how much one pip is worth in your account currency, what position size fits your risk limit, how much margin the broker locks, and what profit or loss a trade produces. They're the foundation of money management — without them, position sizing is a guess.

How to size the risk of a trade

1) Decide how much of your balance you're willing to lose on one trade (1–2% is the rule of thumb). 2) Set your stop-loss in pips. 3) The position-size calculator tells you how many lots you can open so that the loss, if SL hits, doesn't exceed your risk amount. 4) Check the required margin — if it exceeds your available balance, scale lots down.
